Kalypso Offshore Energy joined the offshore energy industry in New York City for the 2026 International Partnering Forum (IPF) — Oceantic Network’s flagship event and the largest offshore renewable energy conference in the Americas — taking part in a full week of engagement from 9–12 February 2026.
The highlight of Kalypso’s week was a speaking slot on the IPF Conference stage, presenting our approach to subsea cable repair and maintenance to developers, vessel operators and asset owners from across the sector.

PRESENTING AT THE VESSEL BRIEFING LUNCH
On Wednesday 11 February, at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, Kalypso presented during the Vessel Briefing Lunch: Vessel Overview, Market Outlook & O&M Opportunities. The session brought together vessel operators, developers and O&M specialists to examine the vessels and strategies that will keep offshore assets online through the next phase of the industry.
Kalypso’s presentation focused on Subsea Cable Repair & Maintenance — vessel selection, modular equipment strategies, and rapid-response capability for offshore wind and power transmission assets. With subsea cables accounting for up to 80% of offshore project insurance claims, we made the case that operational readiness — the right vessel, pre-engineered equipment, and a plan in place before a fault occurs — is one of the most effective ways to protect availability and reduce costly downtime.
“Presenting at IPF gave us a platform to share something we feel strongly about: the next phase of U.S. offshore energy will be won or lost on operations and maintenance. Having the right vessel and repair strategy ready before a cable fails — not after — is what keeps assets online. The conversations we had in New York reinforced just how much appetite there is for practical, execution-focused O&M solutions.”

A FULL WEEK OF ENGAGEMENT IN NEW YORK
Beyond the main stage, Kalypso took part in a full week of technical and supply-chain events across the city. We joined the NOWRDC Technical Symposium at the SUNY Global Center, contributing to the Operations & Maintenance Innovation Panel with practical insights drawn from active subsea cable projects, and attended the Local Content: Infrastructure Supplier Forum, focused on supply-chain development and infrastructure investment in support of U.S. offshore projects.
We were also pleased to join the Offshore Wind Innovation Hub’s Windward Innovation Celebration, reconnecting with the OWIH network of innovators, investors and industry partners — building on Kalypso’s participation in the Hub’s 2025 accelerator cohort.
Across the week, Kalypso met with developers, utilities, OEMs, vessel operators and supply-chain partners, alongside New York’s offshore wind institutions and agencies, to discuss how flexible, U.S.-ready cable repair and O&M solutions can help improve availability, reduce downtime, and strengthen long-term asset performance.

LOOKING AHEAD
IPF 2026 reinforced our conviction that resilient, rapidly deployable subsea services — backed by Jones Act-compliant capability — are central to the long-term performance of U.S. offshore energy infrastructure. We are grateful to Oceantic Network and all of the week’s organizers, and we look forward to building on the relationships made in New York.
If you connected with Kalypso during IPF Week — or would like to continue the conversation on subsea cable repair, maintenance and vessel strategy — we would be glad to hear from you at info@kalypso-offshore.com.
