About the Role
Kalypso Offshore is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of the physical, day-to-day execution of our subsea cable operations — both offshore and on the quayside. This is a "boots on the ground" role for someone who leads from the front, gets stuck in, and makes sure that equipment, crews, and operations are working and flowing correctly at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the physical execution of Kalypso's offshore subsea cable activities — installation, maintenance, and repair.
Manage quayside and waterfront operations, including mobilizations, demobilizations, load-outs, and equipment readiness.
Be present on site and offshore, coordinating crews, vessels, and contractors to keep operations running safely and on schedule.
Ensure cable-handling spreads, deck equipment, and tooling are correctly set up, maintained, and operating as intended.
Act as the operational link between the offshore and quayside teams and the wider project team.
Champion safety on the ground, enforcing safe systems of work and HSE standards at all times.
Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and practically, keeping work flowing.
Support logistics, resourcing, and equipment planning for upcoming operations.

Requirements
Proven, hands-on experience in offshore marine operations — ideally subsea cable installation, maintenance, or repair.
Strong quayside and vessel-based operational background, comfortable working on deck and at the waterfront.
Practical knowledge of cable-handling equipment, deck spreads, and marine mobilizations.
Sound understanding of offshore HSE practices and safe systems of work.
Valid offshore certifications (e.g. BOSIET/OPITO, offshore medical) or willingness to obtain them.
Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead crews and coordinate contractors on site.
Excellent coordination and communication across office, quayside, and offshore teams.
