About the Role

Kalypso Offshore is seeking a Contracts Manager to take ownership of the contractual and commercial framework underpinning our subsea cable projects. Working closely with our tendering, project management, and operations teams, you will draft, negotiate, and administer the agreements that govern our work with offshore wind developers, telecommunications operators, vessel owners, and the wider supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, framework agreements, call-offs, subcontracts, and supplier terms.

  • Lead contractual negotiations with clients and suppliers, working with external counsel where required.

  • Administer live contracts, including variations, change orders, claims, notices, and contractual correspondence.

  • Manage contractual risk across the portfolio, including liability, indemnity, insurance, and liquidated damages provisions.

  • Support the tendering team with contractual qualifications, clarifications, and risk registers during bid submissions.

  • Maintain the company's contract templates, standard terms, and contract management registers.

  • Advise project teams on contractual obligations, entitlements, and correspondence.

  • Manage non-disclosure agreements, cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding, and consortium arrangements.

  • Support insurance placement and claims handling in coordination with our brokers.

  • Monitor compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations across active projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Proven contracts management experience in offshore energy, marine, subsea, construction, or heavy engineering.

  • Working knowledge of industry standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, LOGIC, and BIMCO.

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, combined with a practical and commercial mindset.

  • Understanding of marine and offshore insurance, liability regimes, and risk allocation.

  • Experience supporting competitive tenders, framework agreements, and call-off contracting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several live contracts simultaneously.

  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients, suppliers, and legal advisors.

  • Experience of both US and European contracting environments is advantageous.
